Vancouver police say a man needed to be hospitalized after being slashed across the face. 

Police say it happened late Saturday night in the Granville Entertainment District.

They say officers were told by passersby that a man had been acting aggressively towards them and was attempting to pick fights. 

They say when officers found the man, he was covered in blood from a face wound and no suspect has been identified.
