Shortly after noon on Saturday,  Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a shooting near the 8900-block of 152 Street. Numerous officers attended and found and a 38-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his face.

The victim was at a bus stop when he had bumped into an unknown man on a bike. There was an exchange between the two, and the suspect then shot at the victim, hitting him in the face. Thankfully, the victim was immediately transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Surrey RCMP’s General Investigation Unit has conduct of the investigation.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 20-30 years old
  • Medium build
  • Dirty blonde hair
  • Light beard

The suspect was wearing a dark hoody, dark board shorts, a man purse and holding a blue bag with empty cans and riding a bike at the time of the incident.

There is no connection to the BC Gang Conflict.
