Surrey RCMP is informing the public of a shooting in Guildford and is requesting anyone with information to contact police.

On March 10th, 2022 at 11:30 PM., Surrey RCMP received a report of shots fired in the area of 14100 and 104th Avenue. Frontline officers attended the area and located a male suffering from an apparent gun-shot wound.

Surrey RCMP General Investigations Unit has conduct of the investigation. Officers are in the area collecting evidence, including CCTV footage.

The investigation is still in the early stages and a motive has not been determined. 

While this incident does appear to be targeted it is not believed to be associated to the Lower Mainland Gang conflict.

On January 19, 2022 shortly after 3:00 a.m. Surrey RCMP responded to the report of shots fired inside a warming center in the 10600-block of King George Boulevard. Two people were located with injuries believed to be gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and have since been released.
