Man Shot Dead In Surrey’s Bog Park Is Brendan Aditya Chand

    The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in following a found body in Bog Park.
     
    On July 3, 2016, just before 2:00pm, Surrey RCMP attended 9740 130th Street for a report of a deceased male. The male was lying in the area of Bog Park and appeared to be the victim of a gunshot wound.
     
    IHIT has taken conduct of this investigation and the scene will be cordoned off for the duration of the day today to continue with evidence collection and scene processing.
     
    LMD Police Dog Service, LMD Integrated Forensic Identification Services, Integrated Tactical Troop and the Coroner have also attended and assisted with this investigation.
     
     
    The homicide victim located in Bog Park has been identified as 27 year old Brendan Aditya CHAND. Mr. CHAND was residing in the Surrey area prior to his death. The next-of-kin notification has been completed.
     
    Several witnesses reported hearing gunshot sounds in the area as early as 10:30pm on July 2, 2016. IHIT is asking anyone who may have information about this homicide to call the IHIT tipline at 1-877-551-4448, or, to remain anonymous call CrimeStoppers.
