Surrey RCMP is investigating the report of a shooting in the Whalley area.
On October 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. the Surrey RCMP received a report that a male was shot at a residence in the 11100 block of 136th Street. Upon attendance, police located a male suffering from a possible gunshot injury.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A male suspect was also located on scene and taken into police custody.
“The investigation is in the very early stages, but initial indications are that the parties involved are known to each other,” says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Corporal Vanessa Munn. “This is believed to be an isolated incident with no ties to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.”
