Police in Vancouver say a 35-year-old man who was riding an e-bike with no-helmet was found with a loaded gun and 60-thousand dollars worth of drugs. 

Officers tried to stop the man for safety reasons over the weekend, but a chase began when the suspect left the bike and tried to run. 

Police caught up with suspect and found the weapon as well as drugs, thought to be fentanyl and methamphetamines.

The department says the e-bike was stolen.

A new report by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives says millions of uninsured Canadians will be left out of the new federal dental program because their family income is too high. Enrolment began last month for a new federal benefits program, which was developed as a condition of a political pact between the Liberal government and the NDP.
