Man In Custody After Paramedics Allegedly Kicked, Punched, In Kamloops, B.C.

    KAMLOOPS, B.C. — An investigation is underway after three paramedics were allegedly assaulted in Kamloops, B.C.

     

    Kamloops RCMP say they were called to Royal Inland Hospital at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday about reports of a man kicking and punching paramedics.


    Staff Sgt. Ed Preto says the 54-year-old man was believed to be intoxicated.


    He encountered the paramedics while awaiting treatment at the hospital.


    Preto says a suspect was restrained by hospital security staff.


    He has since been released from hospital, but remained in police custody early Thursday.
