Man hit by vehicle in Abbotsford

A man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Abbotsford. Police say the pedestrian accident happened this morning on North Parallel Road.

North Parallel Rd has been closed in all directions between Whatcom Rd and Kilgard Rd due to a serious motor vehicle collision. Please avoid the area if possible. pic.twitter.com/GUtZK7AbZL

The driver stayed at the scene and is co-operating with the investigation.

Police say the recent heavy snowfall likely contributed to the crash.
