Man found guilty of second degree murder

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says a man has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of a 52-year-old in B-C more than seven years ago.

They say that Mounties in Richmond responded to a report of a body found on March 2, 2017, and I-HIT took over the file after they determined Allen William Skedden's death was suspicious.

Police say the B-C Prosecution Service charged Adrianus Rosbergen in February 2022.

They say he was found guilty in B-C Supreme Court on Tuesday, but a sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled

Mounties in Campbell River say a 24-year-old man is facing possible charges after a search warrant turned up a significant amount of illicit drugs last month. They say officers seized more than 900 grams of cocaine, 200 grams of fentanyl, 260 hydromorphone pills and 26-thousand dollars in cash during the search.
