Man Dead After Altercation At Burnaby Skytrain Station; Homicide Investigators Probe

BURNABY, B.C. — Homicide officers are investigating at a Burnaby SkyTrain station after a man died early Sunday morning.
 
Burnaby RCMP responded to a report of an altercation at Edmunds SkyTrain station just before 1 a.m.
 
Officers found one man in need of medical attention, and he was rushed to hospital where he later died.
 
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now working with Burnaby RCMP and Transit Police to determine what led to the man's death.
 
Sgt. Stephanie Ashton says investigators know there were a number of people in the area at the time of the altercation, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
 
The man's identity is not being released, pending notification of next-of-kin.
