MISSION, B.C. — A man has been charged with murder after a woman's body was found in the wreckage of a trailer home fire in Mission, B.C.

Forty-two-year-old Walter Ramsey faces one count of first degree murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of arson for allegedly setting the home on fire.

Ramsey has been remanded into custody and will appear in court on Monday.

Mission RCMP were called to the home just after 3 a.m. Friday and after fire crews extinguished the blaze, a woman's body was found inside.

Officers say the woman is believed to be 33-year-old Eleanor Anthonysz, and two children were taken to hospital as a result of the incident.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team worked with Mission RCMP to determine who they suspected was responsible for Anthonysz's death.
