Man charged with attempting to abduct 4-year-old girl

    A man has been taken into custody and charged after attempting to abduct a four-year-old girl from a park in Surrey.

    Reportedly, the father noticed a stranger talking to his daughter in Holland Park. When the father approached the stranger left but returned later to shout at him.

    The father soon called 911 when the man started shouting but the stranger fled the park soon on his bicycle.

    Adam Richard Beedle, 32, was arrested several blocks away by officers.

    He has been charged with attempted abduction, uttering a threat and possessing a controlled substance.
