Man charged in weapons trafficking

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 08 Jul, 2024 05:08 PM
  • Man charged in weapons trafficking

The Canada Border Services Agency says a man has been charged with one count each of weapons trafficking and possession of a prohibited firearm after an investigation that began in December 2022.

The agency says the man had received packages earlier that year containing parts that appeared to be meant for manufacturing 3-D printed guns.

It says a shipment for the man containing firearm parts was then intercepted at the Vancouver's mail centre, and police searched a home in Langley, finding a loaded 3-D printed semi-automatic pistol, a suppressor, and other items related to 3-D guns.

The suspect's first court appearance is set for tomorrow.
