Man charged in series of robberies

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 15 Nov, 2024 01:52 PM
  • Man charged in series of robberies

Mounties in Surrey say a man has been charged with nine offences, including theft and disguise with intent after a series of robberies in the city.

They say officers responded to a report of a jewelry store theft on October 7th, where a suspect stole about 27-thousand dollars worth of goods.

Police say officers were able to identify the man -- who is believed to be tied to two other thefts -- through C-C-T-V footage.

They say a search warrant was executed at a home in Coquitlam on November 7th, where police found some of the missing jewelry, leading to the man's arrest.
