Man Charged In Connection With New Year's Day Homicide In Vancouver Park

    Vancouver Police have arrested a 50-year-old man for the murder of Jesus Cristobal-Esteban in Oppenheimer Park on January 1.


    Glen Domenic Martin, of Vancouver, was arrested on Thursday in Vancouver and charged with manslaughter.


    “Homicide investigators have worked meticulously on this file to gather evidence and recommend charges,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD. “We hope this arrest brings some closure to the victim’s friends and family and the community.”


    Mr. Cristobal-Esteban sustained a serious head injury in an altercation and was taken to hospital where he died the next day. Martin is in custody.
