Man Charged After Honda Civic Clocked At 200 Km/h Crashes Off N.S. Highway

The Canadian Press, 11 Apr, 2017 12:42 PM
MARSHY HOPE, N.S. — A Nova Scotia man was arrested after a Honda Civic clocked at 200 km/h lost control and crashed.

Mounties say the car was spotted late Sunday afternoon on Highway 104 in Marshy Hope, passing vehicles at high speed in a no-passing zone.

Const. Mark Kellock says the Civic was going double the 100 km/h speed limit.

He says the car lost control while making a left turn off the highway, went through a guard rail and then went down an embankment.

The driver was not injured, but the vehicle was severely damaged.

A 20-year-old Bridgewater man is scheduled to appear in Pictou provincial court June 19 on dangerous driving charges.
