ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - Police in Abbotsford, B.C., have run out of ideas in their search for a burglar who forced a 13-year-old boy to help search for valuables after a man broke into his home.
Const. Ian MacDonald says the teenage boy was playing with an electronic device at home back in May when a man came into the house looking for valuables.
Police say the suspect at first locked the boy in the bathroom, then forced him to go through the house to look for more valuables, before shutting him inside the bathroom again and taking off with some electronics.
Police are hoping the public may be able to lead them to solve the crime.
The suspect is described as a clean-shaven Caucasian male in his 20s, 5'8" tall with a medium build, short, dark brown hair, and he was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans.
MacDonald calls the burglary a unique method of operation, and says anyone with information should contact the police.
