Man And Woman Found Dead In Halifax-Area Duplex, Foul Play Not Suspected

    HALIFAX — Police in Halifax are investigating after two people were found dead in a duplex.
     
    Investigators say officers were called to the home on Marilyn Drive in Dartmouth around 8:30 a.m. today for a medical-related emergency.
     
    Police say a man and a woman believed to be in their fifties were pronounced dead at the scene.
     
    Neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution.
     
    Police say there is no evidence to suggest foul play.
     
    A forensic identification unit, the medical examiner and the provincial Labour Department are exploring the circumstances surrounding the couple's death.
