A man and a woman remain in police custody facing potential charges after they were arrested in possession of a Bait Car early Friday

On June 17, 2016 at 8:18 am, the Kelowna RCMP received information of the activation of a bait car in the Kelowna area.

Several general duty and plain clothes officers began to converge on the stolen Bait Car from all directions while monitoring the suspects live inside the vehicle using audio and video recording devices.

The vehicle then pulled into the 200 block of Leon Avenue where the suspects got out and began to walk away from the bait car. Officers flooded the area and arrested the suspects without incident, adds O’Donaghey.

They each face potential charges of theft of a motor vehicle under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
