Man Allegedly Sets Fire To Couches In North Delta, B.C., Police Station

The Canadian Press, 07 Oct, 2018 10:06 PM
VANCOUVER — Police in British Columbia have arrested a man who allegedly set fire to couches in a police station lobby.

Delta police say a man walked into the station in North Delta Saturday afternoon and began lighting the couches in the lobby on fire.

Spokeswoman Cris Leykauf says in a statement that there were no injuries, but the sprinklers did go off and the building was evacuated.

She says the lobby of the building has significant smoke, fire and water damage.

It's now closed to the public, although police officers and staff remain at work.
