LANGLEY, B.C. — RCMP in Langley, B.C., are trying to piece together a strange case that began early Thursday morning with what appeared to be a shooting.
A release says Mounties were called to a home in that suburban Vancouver community at around 4 a.m.
A man inside claimed he had been shot in the shoulder, but was unclear about exactly when the alleged attack might have occurred.
The 43-year-old was taken to hospital and doctors quickly reported his injury did not appear to be from a gun.
Mounties had already taped off an area around the scene and had requested help from the Lower Mainland emergency response team, but cancelled the request.
Police would like to speak to any witnesses as they try to understand what might have happened.
