Langley Police Hunt For Indo-Canadian Man In Gas Station Molestation Case

IANS, 28 Aug, 2015 11:47 AM
Police in Langley city have released the sketch of an Indo-Canadian man who, in an inebriated state, sexually harassed a female gas station employee, a media report said.

On August 9, the suspect entered the gas station on Fraser Highway at about 8 p.m., the Langley Times newspaper reported on Thursday.

"The victim was eating her lunch when the suspect touched her inappropriately from behind," said Holly Largy, spokesperson for the Langley Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The woman, however, pushed the suspect and escaped from the spot. The suspect immediately fled.

The police were unable to track down the suspect due to the delay in registering the complaint, the report added.

The suspect is described as an Indo-Canadian in his mid-20s. He had an "Elvis style" brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee, the report said.

"He was about 5'6" feet tall and was wearing jeans and a dark blue shirt with stripes. He also carried a black backpack," the report added.

Anyone with information is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200. To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
