NANAIMO, B.C. — A 19-year-old Ladysmith, B.C., man has been identified as the victim of a head-on accident in Nanaimo late Monday night.
 
The BC Coroners Service confirms Zachary Andrew was killed when his northbound sports car was hit by an oncoming vehicle on the Nanaimo Parkway.
 
Andrews died at the scene.
 
Nanaimo RCMP said the collision happened at around 10:30 p.m., when a southbound Suzuki Sidekick veered into the path of Andrew's Mazda.
 
The 35-year-old Nanoose Bay man driving the Suzuki suffered critical head injuries and was airlifted to hospital in Victoria.
 
A cause of the crash remains under investigation.
