Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 22 Mar, 2021 08:11 PM
  • L driver in Surrey hits 3 pedestrians including a 5 year old girl

Mounties in Surrey, B.C., say three people have been taken to hospital after a driver with a learner's permit hit the group at a bus stop on Sunday.

Police say the driver, who has a Class 7 licence and was under supervision at the time, mounted the curb before hitting the pedestrians.

One of the injured victims is a five-year-old girl, and police say all three people were taken to hospital.

RCMP say early indications are that distraction may have been a factor in the crash.

No charges have yet been laid and Surrey RCMP's collision investigation team has taken conduct of the probe.

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact Surrey RCMP.
