Kelowna, B.C., Woman Set To Collect $50-million In Lotto Max Winnings

The Canadian Press, 12 Apr, 2016 10:21 AM
VANCOUVER — British Columbia's newest lottery multi-millionaire is set to collect her winnings in Kamloops, B.C.

A release from the B.C. Lottery Corporation confirms the winner is Kelowna resident June Bergh.

She picks up $50-million dollars in a ceremony set for 10 a.m.

The lottery website shows Bergh beat odds of nearly 29-million-to-one when she grabbed the April 8 Lotto Max jackpot.

A Vernon resident who has not yet come forward is the winner of the April 9 Lotto 649 jackpot.

Those two multi-million dollar prizes add to an ongoing lucky streak for Okanagan lottery players that began earlier this year when Kelowna resident, Robert Goertzen won $21.9 million on the February 20 Lotto 6/49 draw.
