Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jean-Rene Michaud Back At Work 13 Months After Being Shot

    KAMLOOPS, B.C. — More than a year after he was shot and seriously wounded at a traffic stop, Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jean-Rene Michaud is back on the job.
     
    Supt. Brad Mueller says Michaud has returned to work in a limited capacity, working part-time on administrative duties.
     
    Mueller says Michaud's return is a positive step that has been good for morale in the force.
     
     
    Michaud was shot in the early-morning hours of Dec. 3, 2014, shortly after pulling over a vehicle.
     
    Kenneth Knutson was arrested after a 12-hour manhunt and is facing an attempted murder charge.
     
    A lawyer for Knutson has said a guilty plea will be entered in March.
