Kamloops, B.C. Woman Who Bilked Senior To Get Breast-enhancement Surgery Faces New Charges

Darpan News Desk, 08 Nov, 2016 01:12 PM
KAMLOOPS, B.C. — A Kamloops, B.C., woman who was jailed for scamming a senior to pay for her fake breasts is facing 14 new fraud-related charges.

An arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Brandie Bloor in provincial court on Monday.

The charges span a 20-month period between July 2012 and March 2014.

According to court documents, Bloor is facing six counts of fraudulent personation relating to six people, three counts of fraud, two counts each of uttering forged documents and possessing identity documents and a single count of forgery.

The fraud charges identify the complainants as Scotiabank, a Ford dealership and an individual listed on one of the personation counts.

In June 2015, a judge sentenced Bloor to nine months in jail and ordered her to repay more than $17,000 to an 83-year-old man she bilked in a bid for breast-enhancement surgery.

Court heard Bloor was arrested after a man received a call from a clinic telling him he owed money. Court heard he had never met Bloor and that she used his stolen driver’s licence to get a loan for the operation.

Bloor denied the fraud, but police found a tattoo on her stomach that matched a description provided by the doctor who performed the surgery.

    She eventually pleaded guilty.

Bloor is now believed to be living in Alberta, and the warrant issued Monday is intended to allow police in that province to return her to B.C. to face the charges.
