LONDON — A Canadian woman who says she was grabbed by a man on a city bus in London wants to thank another man who intervened and confronted her attacker.

Kaitlyn Regehr posted on her Facebook page this week that the incident occurred on Tuesday.

Her post says the man who came to her rescue told the person who grabbed her buttocks that it was not acceptable.

Regehr, who is from Toronto, is asking for help to "find this awesome dude" so she can "buy him a pint."

The story has also been picked up by a number of media outlets in Britain including the Daily Telegraph and the BBC.

"I thank you not just because you stood up for me, or because you made me feel safe, but because on your transit home - in this big, potentially anonymous city - you humanised assault. You didn't turn away. You took a stand. You said something," she wrote on Facebook.

Her Facebook page describes her as a former TV co-host and burlesque expert.

The BBC quotes Regehr as saying she reported the incident to police.
