Justin Trudeau will be in New York City today.

The prime minister has a series of meetings and events, during which he is expected to promote Canada as a trade and investment partner for American businesses.

One topic that has been garnering a lot of attention, is what Ottawa is planning for its critical minerals sector.

Business Council of Canada senior adviser Louise Blais says there is no time like the present for spelling out how Canada expects to tap into such rich resources.

Pharmacists will be able to administer more vaccines and renew prescriptions for people who have lost their family doctors starting Oct. 14. Next spring, they will begin prescribing drugs for minor ailments like urinary tract infections, allergies and indigestion, meaning patients won't have to visit a doctor first.
