Indo-Canadian homeopath accused of sexually assaulting young patient

Toronto, May 2 (IANS) A 62-year-old Indo-Canadian homeopathic doctor has been arrested and charged for alleged sexual assault of a young patient who had come to his clinic in Brampton, the police said.
Sunil Anand has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference following an investigation by the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit.
On April 23, the police received information that a young person had visited a clinic in Brampton to see a homeopathic doctor. During the medical examination, it is alleged that the young person was sexually assaulted, the Peel Regional Police said.
Anand was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. The police said Anand also works at a homeopathic clinic in the Toronto area.
Investigators have appealed to those with information to come forward and contact officers in the Special Victims Unit of the Peel Regional Police.
R-C-M-P say officers arrived at the building Saturday morning to find a man lying on the ground unconscious with severe injuries. The man was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Mounties and representatives with the B-C-A-A spent Monday morning watching drivers on westbound Lougheed Highway at Phillips Avenue. B-C drivers are required to slow down and move over for all vehicles stopped alongside the road that have flashing red, blue or yellow lights.
As of June 1st, visitors to 31 city parks will be able to drink there year-round, while 16 parks will allow alcoholic beverage consumption from July 1st to August 31st each year. Burnaby R-C-M-P say they've arrested a suspect after an 89-year-old woman was assaulted at the Metrotown mall. Mounties say it happened on April 20th when the victim was shoved to the ground by an unknown man.
R-C-M-P in Coquitlam are urging the public to use caution when asked to convert money into cryptocurrency. That person encouraged the victim to withdraw thousands of dollars from their bank account and convert it into cryptocurrency for transferring, in order to prevent further unauthorized transactions on their credit card.
Passengers must be eligible for the provincial Travel Assistance Program -- have the correct form from their health care provider and obtain a program confirmation number from Health Insurance B-C.
