Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 30 Aug, 2024 12:21 PM
  • Increase for towing fees in September

Fees for towing and storing impounded vehicles are set to go up starting in September.

The province says it's bumping up the fees to increase the consequences for people who drive dangerously.

The flat-rate towing fee is increasing 38 per cent to 110 dollars, and the most expensive storage fee is nearly doubling to 40 dollars per day

A report from B-C's coroner says there were 19 accidental motor-vehicle-related deaths in the province from July 5th to July 10th this year
