IIO Notified After Driver Collides With Multiple Vancouver Police Vehicles

    The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. has been notified of a police-involved incident in Vancouver.


    Vancouver Police reported that on March 03, 2020, shortly after 2:00 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of 39th Avenue and Cambie Street, Vancouver.


    It is reported that the vehicle drove off and had several collisions with police vehicles.


    The male driver was placed under arrest and was transported to hospital where it was determined the male had suffered serious injuries.


    The IIO will investigate to determine what role, if any, the officers’ actions or inaction may have played into the serious harm of the male.
