IHIT has taken over the case after a woman was assaulted in her New Westminster Glenbrooke North area home

The incident took place around 1 p.m. on March 2 at a home on Princess Street near 2nd Street. The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

42 year old, Andywele Mullings, was arrested. According to police the parties involved knew each other. 

Mullings has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one of assault with a weapon.

On Thursday, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said the victim has passed away due to her severe injuries.
