The Insurance Corporation of B-C says more than half of motorists in this province support discounts for those who don't drive much, so it has created a package offering new savings to those with mileage under 10-thousand kilometres per year.
The corporation says eligible policy holders can save between 10 and 15 per cent on their optional coverage when renewing this year.
They must be able to provide two odometer readings, one year apart, have a 12-month Autoplan policy that includes I-C-B-C optional coverage -- such as a Roadstar package -- and motorcycles, R-V's and collector cars don't qualify.
The new offer builds on the existing low-kilometre discount for vehicles driven less than five-thousand kilometres per year -- which cuts 10 per cent from basic insurances for eligible drivers.
