  • Human remains found in Burnaby, IHIT suspects foul play

On the morning of August 12 (yesterday), the Burnaby RCMP responded to a report of possible human remains located near the 6200-block of Darnley Street. Burnaby Frontline officers attended the scene and confirmed the remains to be human. At this time, police suspect the person to be a victim of foul play.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of the investigation.

If you were in the area of Darnley Street (including Norland Avenue and Kensington Avenue) and saw anything suspicious between Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. and early Thursday morning, please contact police.
