How To Do Christmas Tree Recycling In Delta

Darpan News Desk, 18 Dec, 2019 09:14 PM

If your household decorates a real tree over the holiday season, there are plenty of convenient, sustainable ways that you can recycle after the holidays are done.

    Curbside Collection
Did you know that live trees can be put out alongside your Green Can on collection day? Make sure that all large trees are cut in half to make it easier for our collection crews.

    Tree Drop-off
Delta residents can drop off yard trimmings, including live Christmas trees, for free at the Enviro-Smart Organics composting facility (4295 72 Street, Ladner). For hours of operation, please contact the facility directly at 604-946-0201.

    Tree Chipping
The Delta Lions Club will once again be providing Christmas tree chipping services. The service is provided by donation, with all proceeds going back to causes within the community. The events will be taking place on January 4 and 5, 2020 at the following locations and times:

    Memorial Park, 9 am - 4 pm

South Delta Recreation Centre, 9 am - 4 pm

Sungod Recreation Centre, 9 am - 4:30 pm
