Homicide Police Arrest Teen Girl After Injured Baby Dies In Saskatoon Hospital

    Saskatoon police say a teenage girl is in custody after an infant died on the weekend.
     
    Officers were called early Sunday to a home in the College Park neighbourhood, where they found the injured boy.
     
    The baby was taken to hospital, where he later died.
     
    Police have arrested a 16-year-old girl, who is not a relative of the child.
     
    Officers could not provide further details in the case, including what charges the girl might face.
     
    They say the death marks the city's ninth homicide of the year.
