Homicide Officers Investigating After Body Found In Surrey’s Bog Park

  • Homicide Officers Investigating After Body Found In Surrey’s Bog Park
SURREY, B.C. — Homicide investigators have taken the lead after a body was found in a park in Surrey, B.C.
 
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says Surrey RCMP responded to a call about a deceased male in 9800-block of 130th Street just before 2 p.m. Sunday.
 
Investigators say the man was found lying in the area of Bog Park and appeared to be the victim of a gunshot wound.
 
The team has taken conduct of the investigation and says the area will be cordoned off all day Monday while officers collect evidence and process the scene.
 
It says the victim has been tentatively identified, but his identity has not been confirmed and family members are still being notified.
 
Police says several witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area as early as 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, and it's asking anyone with information to contact police.
