Homicide Investigators Called To Coquitlam After Suspicious Fire, Woman Arrested

    On March 10, 2020, just after 6:15 a.m., Coquitlam RCMP was called to assist the Coquitlam Fire Department with a small but suspicious fire in the 4000 block of Quarry Road in Minnekhada Regional Park. When police arrived, they found evidence of a suspicious death. A

     

    An adult woman was arrested at scene and is being held in custody.


    The area surrounding the investigation will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Coquitlam RCMP.


    Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase so no further information will be provided at this time.


    The BC Coroners Service is conducting a concurrent fact-finding investigation to determine how, where, when and by what means the deceased came to their death, and will also not be releasing any more information at the present time.
