Holiday Win Brings Burnaby Couple $500,000 ‘Extra’ Reasons to Celebrate

Darpan News Desk, 11 Dec, 2019 06:45 PM

Terry Lynne and Renato Vincelli have a few ‘Extra’ reasons to celebrate this holiday season after matching all four Extra numbers to win a merry $500,000 in the November 6, Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Vincellis are making a list about which dreams they plan to make come true, thanks to their unexpected win.

“It’s once in a lifetime,” Terry Lynne said, “It’s surreal, I’m unable to process it.”

Terry Lynne says she is dreaming of a family trip to Europe, while Renato is conjuring-up thoughts of a new garage.

“You never think you’re going to win, but there’s always that…chance,” Renato added.

The couple, which purchased the ticket at the Centennial Town Pantry on East Hastings Street, had to check the ticket twice before the winners’ message sunk in.

“I was at home and thought I have some lottery tickets to check,” Terry Lynne recalled. “I started to scan them…and this one came up as a $500,000 winner! I looked at the ticket and scanned it over again…and then I started crying.”
