Jonathan Cardinal, a 29-year-old federal sex offender who failed to return to his Vancouver halfway house last week, has been arrested by police.
Just before midnight on July 7, two uniformed officers noticed Cardinal walking in the Downtown Eastside.
Cardinal initially provided officers with a false name, however, he was arrested after officers discovered his identity.
Cardinal is in custody.
Armitage is 30, five feet 10 inches tall, weighs 179 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair, and is serving time for robbery, aggravated assault and other offences.
