Vancouver police are on the lookout for a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Twenty-seven-year-old Harjot Singh Samra was released from prison yesterday but failed to report to his Vancouver halfway house.

Vancouver police say they spotted him driving a vehicle near Cambie Street and Marine Drive last night and tried to stop it before it sped away.

Samra is a federal offender with numerous drug and weapons charges and anyone who sees him is asked to call 9-1-1.
