Halloween safety plan key: Coquitlam RCMP

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 25 Oct, 2024 09:48 AM
  • Halloween safety plan key: Coquitlam RCMP

Police in Coquitlam are urging people to have a plan as Halloween approaches to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians.

Mounties say trick-or-treating often leads to increased number of pedestrians on the roadways, and people should make sure their costumes are visible in the dark.

Police are also asking people to have costumes where they can see properly, and the use of face paint may be better than wearing a mask.

Trick-or-treaters are also asked to make sure their costumes fit well to avoid trips and falls, as well as being made of flame-retardant material.
