Girl, 5, Killed In Collision Between Horse-Drawn Carriage And Minivan In Ontario

    GREY HIGHLANDS, Ont. — Police say a five-year-old girl is dead after a minivan collided with a horse-drawn carriage in southern Ontario.
     
    Provincial police say the crash took place Sunday morning north of Orangeville, Ont., when both vehicles were travelling southbound on Highway 10.
     
    They say the carriage was carrying nine people.
     

    The young girl died of her injuries and a second person in the buggy was air-lifted to hospital in critical condition.
     
    Four others in the carriage suffered less serious injuries, while two people in the minivan sustained minor injuries.
