The federal and provincial governments have partnered up to improve air quality in B-C schools.
A joint investment of 3.2-million-dollars will go toward improving the ventilation systems at five elementary and secondary schools in the province.
Two of the schools in Abbotsford will receive funding to replace heat pumps, a chiller and a direct digital controls upgrade.
Schools in Chilliwack, 100 Mile House and Harrison Hot Springs will also see improvements including the replacement of air handling units where frequent ventilation is needed as well as rooftop units.
