A freezing rainfall warning is in effect for the Fort Nelson area in northeastern B-C.

Environment Canada says Fort Nelson and areas east to the Alberta border could see periods of freezing rain into the early evening.

The weather is expected to make for icy and slippery conditions on highways, roads, walkways and parking lots.

Residents are urged to adjust their driving according to the changing road conditions.
