Free transit from Aug 6-Aug 31 in the Fraser Valley

BC Transit and its local government partners in the Fraser Valley are pleased to provide riders with free transit for handyDART customers from resumption of service on July 31 through to August 31.
Transit will also be free (excluding tickets and pass products) for riders on conventional transit from the resumption of service on August 6 through to August 31, 2023.
BC Transit and our local government partners want to thank everyone for their patience during the service disruption and look forward to welcoming customers onboard again for free in the month of August.
The Mounties say they're looking for three suspects who were seen on surveillance camera emptying out boxes of inexpensive items and replacing them with significantly more expensive merchandise.
A 15-year-old Kamloops girl is dead after a hiking accident in B-C's Southern Interior. Police say it happened Sunday evening about 30 kilometres southeast of Revelstoke.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 62-year old man, later identified as Imtiaz Hussain of Abbotsford, deceased. As a result of evidence obtained by the investigators, a 46-year old man was arrested and taken into custody.
Surrey RCMP say Aurora Bolton and Joshuah Bolton were last seen in Krafty's Kitchen and Bar in Kelowna. Police say the suspect is Verity Bolton, who is five-foot-two-inches tall, with brown hair and eyes.
Upon arriving at the delivery address, the victim was confronted by unknown suspects who attempted to take his vehicle when a physical altercation occurred. The unknown suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle leaving the victim at the side of the road with life-threatening injuries.
Solicitor General Mike Farnworth said in a statement that he has carefully considered the city’s report on moving back to the RCMP, but Surrey has not demonstrated that doing so would be safe or would not affect other communities.
