Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford To Have Surgery To Remove Cancerous Tumour In May

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 02 Apr, 2015 02:19 PM

TORONTO — Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he'll undergo surgery for his cancerous tumour on May 11.

Ford met with his doctors on Thursday afternoon and says he was told his tumour has shrunk enough to operate.

Ford has received both chemotherapy and radiation since doctors discovered the tumour last September.

As a result of the cancer diagnosis, Ford gave up his re-election bid as mayor and instead ran for his old council seat, which he won in the October election.
