Former Industry Minister James Moore Joins Vancouver Office Of Global Law Firm

  • Former Industry Minister James Moore Joins Vancouver Office Of Global Law Firm
VANCOUVER — Former federal industry minister and British Columbia MP James Moore has landed a new job.

He has joined Dentons, an international law firm with offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific.

A release from the firm says Moore will be based in its Vancouver office as senior business adviser and will provide advice to clients across Canada and around the globe.

Moore was first elected as a suburban Vancouver Conservative MP in 2000 and stepped down in June in order to spend more time with his two-year-old son, who has a serious medical condition.

When he announced his retirement, the fluently bilingual 39-year-old did not rule out a return to politics and has long been rumoured to have leadership aspirations.

Dentons' Canada chief executive officer Chris Pinnington says Moore's broad experience will enable the firm to provide counsel in areas that intersect business, law and public policy.
