Former Conservative MP Dona Cadman Backs Surrey Liberal Randeeep Singh Sarai

Darpan News Desk , 18 Oct, 2015 10:49 AM
Dona Cadman, who served as Conservative MP for Surrey-North from 2008 to 2011 is now supporting a Liberal candidate in the newly branded riding of Surrey Centre.

A release on Saturday from the Liberals, but signed by Dona Cadman, says that she and her late husband started out with the Reform Party because of their family and community values.

"I have tried to stay true to this as the Conservative Party changed into what it is today," said the release. "But at this point, I do not feel comfortable with much of what is being done and even less of how it is being done."

Cadman said she’s endorsing Sarai because he shares her concerns about crime.

“He’s got vision,” she said. “For Surrey Centre, he is the best candidate.”
